Michigan Safety Conference (MSC) Diversity and Inclusion Policy

MSC fosters diversity and inclusion of all people. It adheres to a diversity policy built around respect for individuals regardless of where they are on life’s journey. MSC prohibits discrimination on the basis of age, citizenship, color, cultural background, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity/expression, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or veteran status. Furthermore, MSC prohibits all harassment and threatening behavior as this conduct detracts from the learning experience which is central to MSC’s mission.

MSC welcomes a full spectrum of differences, life experiences, knowledge, viewpoints, innovation, self-expression, talents and intellectual approaches, because it enriches the conversation and benefits everyone, even as it challenges us to grow and think differently.

We encourage listening with patience and empathy, creating an environment conducive to dialogue, asking questions, respecting answers, being open to fresh perspectives and appreciating one another’s contributions. These beliefs allow MSC to provide the best and most relevant educational programs to address occupational and environmental health and safety.
