Emergency Incident Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Waste (Basic-Intermediate)

The MI EGLE organization requires both small and large hazardous waste generators to prepare and be able to respond to emergency incidents involving hazardous waste releases, including reporting releases. (Part [1], Rules 306, 307 and 311).  This presentation will look at the specific requirements for the generators and tips for successfully dealing with an emergency release.

Dispose of Hazardous Waste Like a Large Quantity Generator Without Being One; Episodic Waste Disposal Events (Basic)

Laurie Rudolph, Safety and Risk Reduction Specialists.

Very Small and Small Quantity Generators can dispose of large quantities of hazardous waste without becoming a large quantity generator. This session will review the EPA/EGLE Episodic Event permit process as well as discuss lessons learned during an actual Episodic Event.
