Great Lakes OSHA Education Center at Eastern Michigan University
Biography
Since 1995, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Professional Programs and Training (PPAT) has served as an OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC), part of a national network of non-profit organizations authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training to all levels of workers. Now partnered with the University of Cincinnati and the UAW Health and Safety Department to form the Great Lakes OSHA Education Center, Eastern Michigan University serves Region V as the only OTIEC in Michigan.
Open Enrollment Classes
The Great Lakes OSHA Education Center at EMU offers over 50 open-enrollment classes each year in occupational safety and health standards, workplace safety, and train-the-trainer for OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour construction and general industry outreach programs.
On-Site Classes
EMU can also bring OSHA numbered courses to your facility, training your workers on company-specific hazards.
