The Michigan State Police-Emergency Management and Homeland Security Training Center (MSP-EMHSTC)-Hazardous Materials Training Unit opened in 1991 and provides cost effective, quality training. The facility in Lansing, Michigan sits on 4-acres with real life props for real hands-on experiences during training. However, due to the extensive training props available, training can also be brought to your facility. Courses offered include Hazmat Technician, HAZWOPER, Highway Cargo Tank, Chemistry, Rail Car, ICS 300/400, Electric Vehicle/Batteries, Confined Space, as well as many others. More than 50,000 responders, first receivers, and private industry personnel have been trained.
